I don’t know what it is about where we live, but people get pulled over all the time in front of our house. Usually it’s on the other side of the street, heading east, but right now, there’s someone stopped directly in front of our house. I would say that I see people stopped on average twice a week. And that’s limited to the hours I’m home, which really isn’t all that much.
So my question is, what do all these people get pulled over for? Speeding? They’d have to be going pretty fast since almost everyone does 40 anyway. But it’s hard to get going too fast on Burton since there’s usually a lot of traffic and many stop lights. Expired plates? Just because the policeperson felt like it? The one that’s sitting out there right now probably wasn’t for speeding, because the guy had to get out of his car and is now sitting in the backseat of the squad car…
I’m just glad I haven’t been pulled over yet.
update: it’s now 6:30, and someone else just got pulled over…
